Days later, the pigeon receives a post

A dramatic return to New York involved a socialist train system, tears, american express, and an enigmatic cab driver comfortable with the shoulder of the highway. Settled back at the homefront, I recieve an email from Nichole with pictures from my last afternoon. Monet, I know you dreamed of a girl dressed in black to liven up those drab water lilies for you.

Oh, the chocolate, the coffee, the frites, the bottines! Paris, Teddy sends his regards.

P.S. Followers of the straightening iron saga will be relieved to read that although little black beauty did not enjoy Paris as I did, she seems to be willing to give me a second, *cautionary* chance in New York. However, I'm happy to see that wavy hair is in for now. If you happen to disagree, you should note that I'd prefer not to be enlightened.
